ok i have a ls engine and i am running about 14psi using a T61 precision turbo. this turbo set up takes (what i consider) a long time to build boost. So i was wondering when i rebuild my tranny and put "smaller" gears in it will this cause my boost to build quicker? due to rpms increasing faster which will push more exhaust through my turbo?

 

Your boost in relation to RPM's is not going to build any faster, but you will be making boost quicker in relation to the speed of your car. With a large turbo your car will be significantly faster with a GSR tranny instead of your LS transmission.

 

that works thank you. any one know where (besides the dealer) i can find gears from gsr or b16. so i can attempt to rebuild my tranny myself?

 

anyone know where i can get gears. like ones from a gsr or b16 so i can put them in my ls???
