Default Brake booster as vacum source

Ok searched on this and didn't get all the info I needed... I want to use this vacum source for my BOV cause right now 4 things are tapped off the fpr-im source and I don't like that idea too much... Now what I need to know is should I simply cut the brake booster tube, add some brass fittings so I can fit a silicone vacum line to goto the BOV, is that all I should do? Also can I hook 2 things into this line, say my BOV and Boost gauge?

Also I heard there is a cruise control vacum source, upon inspection of the IM I can't find this source where-ever it is.... someone wanna shed the light on this one? I have a helms and have no idea where cruise control in it etc.... page number or detailed location of it and if I can even use it to tee off to another thing like wg, fmu......

ANY vacuume source can be used!! for the source going to the cruse control, i would just start your car and pull the one or two hoses off of the cruse control box. which ever one is sucking air that is your line. I think it is only one hose though.

good luck

Kinda related...I know some cammed-out v8's have problems with brakes, because they don't have enough vacuum to run the booster. Would this be a problem for us with a turbo as well? Does it put any stress on it?

its the large hose that starts in the middle of the picture and makes 3 90 degree bends before it finds its way to the brake booster. if you look right after the first bend you can see where he tee'd into it. just so you know, the correct way to get extra vacuum sources is to remove the intake manifold, drill and tap it, and install a couple brass vacuum nipples. it's really not as hard as some people make it out to be.

Only when theres a highlift lumpy cam. I know, I used to have a built 350 in my S10 p'up. They sell vacuum canisters for this--I had one.

Anyways. I have my wastegate vacuum off of the brake booster line. Works great, before it would open prematurely and bleed off boost. Just make sure to cut the line before the checkvalve or under boost you will activate the brake!!

I just hooked up my BOV to the brake booster and left the other 3 on the FPR line and the BOV sounds much better :D I will try switching my wg onto the brake booster next and see if I notice anything different.

dont know about u guys, but I actually got better gas milage when i switched my vacume source for my BOV and WG from the FPR hose to the brake booster hose... i noticed an estimated increase of 50 mpg in my car city driving.. i usually got about 150 miles city, but now i get about 200-210 miles, this is in a CX hatch...

im guessing he's meaning miles per tank. but anyway, can you really loose gas milage from T-ing too many things off? I have like 6 thinks T-ed off. Everything seems to be working right, but my gas milage is kinda eh...could this be the cause?
