BOVs?
In everybodys opinion, whats the best BOV on the market? I like the way the HKS
SSQV's sound (my boy has one on his MR2), but I want everyone's take on the topic.
They all cost about the same, so thats not too much of an issue, I just wanted to know if
anybody has encountered any problems wth any of the major brand-name BOV's.

theres the first problem.
there are many, and many work.
i have used an hks ssq, and a tial 50mm on my setups. both worked fine. i think the tial worked better with my bigger turbo higher boost setup, friends had a greddy tyoe s on his 240, and it worked well also.
there are a lot of nut swingers on here so if this thread lasts long, atleast one person for every valve will show up.

the greddy type s is NOT a better blow off than the hks ssqv. the ssqv uses the boost to secure it shut. the more boost you run the more it will stay shut. its almost identical to the stock mr2 bov. the greddy type s on the other hand uses a spring to stay shut. and under some circumstances will open under high boost.

I waited for this day....I've been paying 10 bucks a year for three years waiting to sell it! 10,000.00 and it's yours!
On a sidenote, I have a Greddy Type S. I must say, Tial's sound pretty damn mean though. Type S's have a bit of a whistle to them after a clean sound...pretty good and not too loud. HKS's can sound like a flock of dove's with one of the inserts, though I can't recall which. Greddy Type RS's sound just, well clean and not too loud. Keep in mind though, alot of factors can change how the bov's sound
http://www.935motorsports.com has a bov soundclip section...you can check it out.
I'm just gonna come right out with this one...it should get everyone all fired up, though it really shouldn't.
Edit....screw it, I'm tired of arguing for this week...lol
That synapse bov is quality too though...there's a vid somewhere about it.

Re: (DrivinVtec)
Apexi is a good one. Not a lot of people run it though and it sounds like a 1g dsm bov, but it gets the job done. I was going to run one but I got a good deal on a Tial.
