Default BOV supposed to be like this?

My blow off valve doesnt sound at low rpms.. only when I got to 3psi +... Before 3 psi, it makes a rooster sound that doesn't come from the blow off valve. Is everything ok?

is this while you're boosting under load? u may have to adjust the spring rate.

yea under load...
I cut the springs a little and it works better... does it at lower psi... theres still a little bit of rooster tho...

when should i stop cutting it?
until all the rooster sound is away?

Is the BOV supposed to be open at idle?

You're not supposed to cut the BOV springs on turbo XS.. you're supposed to take out or add the shims supplied.

This is the best place I could think of to ask this. Here's the deal...

I've got a BOV from a 93 Eclipse. I'm close to doing a semi-custom turbo setup (I'm piecing most of the turbo parts together - also on a budget) and I want to retrofit this BOV to my intercooler tubing which I plan to have made/bent at my exhaust shop. my question is: where on the tubing do I want to put the BOV? between the TB and IC? at what distance from what and is there anything else to keep in mind?

Not sure how important this is but it's a 90 Integra w/ B18b (basically LS-Turbo)
