Is the BOV supposed to flutter at low boost? 3-5 PSI??
I have been researching that bov's arent supposed to flutter. Does this mean at low boost as well? My BOV flutter at around 3-5psi when i am crusing around town and not really getting on it much. Should I losen it to prevent this or is it supposed to flutter at low boost. I doesnt flutter when I am at around 7+psi.. then i get the normal blow off sound.
Mine flutters at low boost but i think i'm going to try loosening it some. My friend has a WRX and his never flutters, even at really low boost.
We both have Blitz DD BOVs.

IT's not suppose to flutter. I HAD the HKS BOV and no matter how I set it, it would flutter. I got rid of it and got a Greddy Type S
So what about the blitz super sound? should it flutter a vaccum and then as soon as it hits 1psi i should have NO flutter at all? and i keep losening it until i dont right?

Sorry to bring up a dead thread, I didn't want to start a new topic on the same subject. I have the same question as DamonBoost, basically my Blitz DD sounds great when I hit boost but if it blows off under vacuum then I get this annoying fluttery bird like noise. Is there any way to prevent this? I've tapped my brake booster and all is well under boost, I just loathe this vacuum flutter crap

My blitz sort of flutters, kind of sounds like
"Woo Woo WOOOSH!"
Unless I'm REALLY on the throttle, then it just go a full "WHOOSH!" with no flutter, I was told it was normal. .... isn't.. it?

Yeah... same here. Mine is fluttery under 1 PSI, clean Pssssssshh above that. No vacuum leaks, I tapped the brake booster, installed a vacuum log, ran 1/4" line to my BOV... everything is secured via zip ties or metal clamps, teflon taped, and loktite'd(where necessary)

Where did you find a tap the size of the brake booster hose...? Is this ok to do so you don't have to run all your vacuum lines off of the FPR vacuum line...? TIA...

I used a 3/8" brass tee, then ran a 3/8" vacuum line to my GE vacuum log, from there I have all my 1/4" lines running to their destinations... worked perfect
The damn HKS SS BOV on the Gaylude Flutters like compressor surge like a gay little girl at 5 psi, even w/ the screw all the way out....
I hate it
