Default bov question (boosted gsr)

hey guys i have a boosted gsr and i just put in my victor x i.m and a top mount turbo mani. and for some reason im getting this really strange noise comming from the driver side of my engine bay when ever i bov goes off, it kinda sounds like the pressure is not going threw my bov and goes straight back to my turbo. (sounds like a sneeze) but i am getting sound from the bov (its an hks bov) iv checked for vacume leaks and everything seems fine iv taken the bov apat and cleaned it and all is fine
any help would be great

does it sound like a turkey or something?

some bov's just sound like that.

Did it always do that, or just started?

compressor surge, from shitty BOV and small compressor housings.

its not going to hurt too much.

is the vacuum hooked to the IM? i believe you have to drill out the fittings. they are threaded but sealed from the factory. make sure your BOV is getting vaccuum.

Record the noise with a videocamera/sound recorder.

When does it make the noise? All the time or are you partial on the throttle... if your only building low amounts of boost partial throttle its common for your BOV not to purge as effeciently causing compressor surge. Either try adjusting the stiffness of the BOV or make sure you have a direct vacuum source to your bov.

it only happens when the blowoff valve sounds but that is a good point ill redirect the line directly to the intake mani. maybe that will help thanks
any other suggestions H-T?

Having t fittings off other vacuum sources isnt the best... your best bet are to have direct vacuum sources or use a vacuum manifold

i don't think it just started doing it, i think you are just now noticing it. mine does the same thing but only when at low boost like at 1-2. its hard to hear and kinda sounds like the BOV echoing but its the turbo. but it won't hurt the turbo none.
