Default bov question..

check out this picture..

If I am not mistaken, instead of having the intercooler piping going into the i/c on the driver side, he has his bov connected to the i/c outlet..why is that? what purpose does it serve? is it safe? any info is appreciated..

that is what they call a "backdoor" intercooler. the turbo connects to right to the back, it uses less piping http://www.full-race.com/catal...id=71

then the bov can be attached to the side like that. i believe the closer to the compressor the better it helps with compressor surge.

well it depends on the type of bov, that is a tial it uses a v-band type of flange, im sure they could make u a greddy or hks flange too. the tial is good for high psi because its a 50mm vavle with replaceable springs, kinda like their wastegates.
