Default BOV poll...

Okay...Here is the deal...I need one to be able to support atleast 450-550 whp. Looking for one that sounds mostly like mad Air.

Thanks

Greddy Type R
HKS Racing NON-Sequential
APEX-i Racing
Vortech
Turbonetics Godzilla
Sard racing
Tial

If you are looking for a BOV that is made for high boost then any of the aforementioned BOV's will do the job. If ya want a noise maker stick a duck call inside of the BOV.

I have never done it myself, but should be rather simple....

Ummm.... weld on two BOV's with very high PSI ratings, ( 450+ right ?) tap them to the same vaccum source and voila ! Makes sense right ?

A 563whp turbo Lexus SC400 proved that setup works to me..... Saw it, inspected it with my own eyes and hands, dyno sheets were real too....

damn, my car feels slow....

Ed Berganholtz, Adam Sarawatari, Abel Ibarra and some other people have ran or are still running dual BOV systems. Its possible.

Possible but only necessary if you're flowing so much air through the turbo that one BOV does not vent enough VOLUME to prevent surge (ie if your engine is significantly larger or has a far higher redline than any 4cyl honda engine I know about). You can put 10 BOVs on your pipe and they won't "hold" any more boost than one would. They all have to hold the same pressure. Those multiple BOV guys are just trying to get the pressure out ASAP so they don't have to spin those huge-*** wheels back up after they hit the next gear.

If you want one that sounds like "mad air" I dont know why everyone picked the HKS SSQ that one makes like a fluttering sound. I like that BOV, thats what Im using, but I dont tihnk thats what youre looking for. And everyone that voted for the Type S, I dont know if the Type S will be able to handle what you want, the Type R is similar to the Type S, but flows A LOT more, so I voted for the Type R, you might as well take all the votes from S and put them into R, cuz I dont know if S will handle your needs. Yeah...after reading some info on the TypeS, I don't think that it can support what I am looking for. Also, the HKS super suquential does make a fluttering sound. It is okay....just not for me.

KEep them comming. Need to Decide like monday or so, so I can finish this project.

How many pounds of boost do you expect to be running? BOV's care more about pressure levels than horsepower numbers

Boost levels will vary with the maximum being around 30psi.

The HKS makes a fluttering sound all right. I had that, but switched to the Greddy Type S. Which I like a lot more

i dont see why people are voting for the greddy type s. if you're making 450-550whp you're running sum mad boost, so you get the greddy type r. the type r is specifically designed for high boost applications, whereas the type s is for moderate boosting levels. type r

Where did you get it from? Link? I know that the Type-S will not support what I am looking for...

The Type-R will huh?

only 30??? y not more?
Well...eventually...boost will be turned to around 32-34, but 30 is the goal now.
