i have an ebay type s knock off that is not working. i have run the vacum to two different sources on Intake manifold. still.. no luck. i have it softened as much as it can be and still no luck. im only running 5-6 psi tho. could that be it? my friend said hes heard something about people cutting the spring inside to make it softer. ive checked the valve by hand, and it works. there are no leaks coming from it either...?

 

Are you sure you have it connected properly? The top nipple should be routed to your intake manifold, AFTER the throttle body. A good source for this would be your FPR line. Do you have the bottom nipple connected to anything, or is it open air? This can be connected to boost source before the throttle body to help aid in the opening on the BOV if needed.

 

i know some ebay bov's come with two springs. i'd take the bigger of the two out so its a little softer.

 

theres no nipple on the top, jus a bolt to control the stiffness of the spring, unless there is supposed to be a vacuum there too. and when i got it, it already had on spring removed...

 

just looked it up and no im not using the bottom nipple for vacuum cuz when i got it, there was no fitting in it, so its just open air

 

The top nipple I was referring to is really on the side, but it's the top side. As opposed to the bottom nipple on the bottom side.
