BOV flutters

Is this typical of low boost cars-6psi? Im using a BOV from japan, its called a MUSASHI-dont ask me why- anyway, its off a R32, and i can only get it to flutter. I cant feel any lag whatsoever between shifts, its definetly venting, but is it doin it enough? Ive also heard that i should hook it up to its own VAC source. Right now its t'd off the FPR line along with the dashpot VAC line. ANy suggestions??? Am i OK? the screw on the top loosened all the way. doesnt open at idle either-

Try hooking it up to the brake booster. I had my BOV hooked up to the FPR, then directly to the mani, and for somer reason it still wouldn't work until I finally hooked it up to the massive brake booster line...

off a skyline huh? my guess is yer not running enough boost. if it is adjustable, tighten it so its more sensitive to boost.
fyi when i had my greddy type s, it didnt matter what vac source i ran it from.

If you have it T-eed that could be your problem, you need to make sure that it has a dedicated vacuum source. Or it may be b/c you have a stiff spring in there. Usually stiff springs come in the high performance BOVs, not like greddy or the other smaller ones. First try the dedicated vacuum, if that doesnt work, then try to find a way to adjust the spring, if that doenst work then see if u can take it apart and get a softer spring for it..HTH
