Bought Turbo....(identification help)
Just bought a turbo kit off of Ed (zygspeed). Great guy and sold me a good kit.
This kit is for my d16z6 motor and was given the OK to buy with a little help from Burke.
Now what we didn't know is what model turbo it is or what trim or however you boost guys put it. And also, it came with what appears to be, 2 blowoff valves?
Guess i'll let you guys view the pics and judge for yourself huh?
Yes, i DO sux0rs at teh intarnet or whatever and i'm no good at uploading or resizing pics , so here's a link(i pray this works to prevent a few un-needed flames )

for some reason your "index" doesn't work for me... for those that are interested in viewing the pics.. just go to album and click enter... you gotta view it 1 by 1
btw: you got some nice parts and a leaf on your carpet

Re: Bought Turbo....(identification help) (SlowPokeEg)
here are the bov pics. really wierd stuff, never seen it before.
they are both on the upper charge pipe about 4-6 inches away from each other, one has a vac port like a normal bov and the other has nothing, kinda like a poppet valve of sorts.
it came as an HKS KIT. i'd really like to know more details on the turbo if you guy know any thing

Turbo is a T25. BOV seems normal, and the non-ported BOV thing is likely there to prevent dangerous boost spikes. Like an auxiliary wastegate.

Re: Bought Turbo....(identification help) (nvmyb20hatch)
the turbo has HKS on it here and there and was sold to Ed (zygspeed) as an HKS turbo kit. i was under the impression that the mani was an HKS cast one, old school though.
do you know how that t25 compares to a DSM t25, cause when i put it side by side with mine, the comp housing looked a "little" bit smaller but the ar is .80 on that and .48 on mine. either way i loved the t25 on my y8. very very fun. too bad i took it out for the b18 setup

Re: Bought Turbo....(identification help) (monster007)
Anyone with some typical D-series #'s off a t25 and when to expect boost?
I'll be running a 2.5" DP and exhaust as well.
I'd love to see some high 13s on some decent street tires. I don't wanna throw too much boost at this 165k motor either.......
