bosch pump set up
Ok,today i actually went to the store to buy whatever else i thought i was gonna need for it(from theoldone.com)
well after buying some stuff and looking at this diagram..

it doesnt work.
the problem is the hose barbs (5/16) and the line...... it says there the barbs allow you to go from the 3/8 pump fitting to the 5/16 stock line fittings but it says to buy 5/16 hose barbs...well that just doesnt work. how can 5/16 hose barbs work with a 3/8 fuel line(for the pump)? Also its gonna be very very difficult to get the 3/8 hose onto the pump(i think you can do it but .. sometimes it looks like it wont work).
im wondering what I should do. ANyone have any insight or tips for this set up. Also , what is the size of the stock line???????
thanks

the factory fuel line should be around 5/16..i dont think your gonna be able to fit that 3/8 hose over the inlet of the pump.Originally that pump was sitting inside the gas tank with a pick-up screen on that end.
ps....I used a bosch pump but it was a little different than the one you got..mine has threads on each end instead of barbs..the outlet is 12mm and the inlet is 18mm...but i sumped the tank with 3/8 NPT fittings and ran an AN/braided steel line set to the pump and all the way to fuel rail.

thanks for the help!
this method (in the pic) has been done by a few on this board, so I know it can be done.
if it doesnt work , i might have to make something up myself.
