are bosch inline pump really quiet???
i just installed a bosch inline fuel pump which look exactly like this:
and bosch told me that that fuel pump are used as oem fuel pump by ford, fiat, mercedes, ferrari and etc. i hooked it up following this diagram from arturbo:
i did a search and most people here mentioned that their pump are a bit noisy and after installing it on a/c hoses it quiets down a bit - meaning there's still some slight noise but how come i can't hear a thing with my bosch inline pump? are they really that quiet?
i checked my connections and recheck the stock pump signal and it goes 12+V when key is in ON then after a few sec it goes back to 0 after priming so i got the correct signal wire. but how come i don't hear some noise like you guys got? i started the car and let it idle for a while and it didn't stall so i assume the pump is working. i touch the pump and its warm so i assume again that it's probably working.
by the way, i secure the pump on the a/c hose.
any ideas???

not too noisy. i have the intank pump and it is slightly louder than stock but, definitely better than the intank MSD pump i had that whined like a little bitch.
it also depends where your going to mount it. It will be louder if you mount it dirently on lets say your firewal...
Shouldn't Bosch inline pumps be mounted by the fuel tank and not in the engine bay (on A/C line)? I though that those pumps were pushers not pullers.
i mounted it on the thick a/c line. is that the reason why it is quiet or is my fuel pump screwed?
will my car stall while idling if the inline pump is not working? i'm confused

I'm not sure how loud the bosch pumps are but make sure you have some kind of rubber between the mounting surface and the pump. You can use a rubber pipe coupling of the correct diamter from home depot. Its like three bux and comes with hose clamps.

You probably in the clear but to be safe I would run a test on the pump to make sure it is flowing fuel. Probably a test off of the car so the in-tank pump doesn't affect it.
