i'll have a CR of around 8.8 or 9:1 after milling an reshaping the combustion chambers also the car will be ran on 93 in fall an winter an 97 in summer a few places sell a 100 octane here but im not that baller

We are releasing a new combo for the sport fwd class. Our S372 unit are now available in .90 a/r up to 1.25 a/r using the legal 83mm turbine wheel.

The S372 is going to be taking over SPFWD.

The compressor wheel is 71.8mm and the turbine wheel is 83mm that fits the legal NHRA rules.

I tried to check out the 372 map here but it didn't come up properly like the 366 did. Can we get a copy on here?

I was looking for that compressor map awhile back as well. What kind of CHRA do these things have? Ball Bearing? Water Cooled? There seems to be allot of info missing from your site.

We are working on the site every day.

The compressor technology is more important than what bearing system you have. The reason most people see a spool up difference over a non bb unit is because a bb unit is not affected as much by high oil pressure. A non bb unit should never see more than 55 psi or it starts to over load the bearings causing lag and poor spool.

I've already been through 2 BWA units. I had mine built by forcedinductions.com. They do a good bit of engineering BS with Bullseye I believe, and they come up with some cool SXXT. I know they have now 2 ball bearing S80's done that are going to be tested for some class racing. So looks like the BB's are next for Borg Warners.

Borg Warner has no plans of making anything ball bearing.

Why would BW use a BB setup when they are already close or better than the Garrett DBB. It helps keeps cost down and the customer happy....

I guess he missed what I wrote in the earlier post about BB is marketing mumbo jumbo and what really matters is the aero package of the wheels and housings not what bearing system you use.

So when Garrett compares their units with the same wheels and one is DBB and the other is not, are they just BS'ing the difference? FWIW, I don't really know much behind the engineering aspect of it.

Just as Dan stated, it's much more than just bearings. It has to work efficiently as a whole unit.

I've first hand seen the differences between a journal bearing and a ball bearing garrett turbo. The ball bearing turbo DOES respond quicker and spool a hair faster on the dyno. The spool isn't that big a deal, but the transient response is in my opinion.

I agree, the wheels are definitely more important than the bearing package, but all things being equal, the ball bearing center section does perform better.
