Default bore sizes for forced induction (turbo)

sup,
im currently looking to turbo my b16.....i always hear of people boring out thier engines in order for it to run better with the turbo. What sizes do you bore your engine out too? i always hear of people sleeving the engine, please correct me if im wrong, but is that just a layer around the cylinders to make it safer or what? can someone please explain it to me.
sorry for newbie questions,
thanks

Sleeving your motor consists of a shop cutting out the top portion of the stock cylinders and machining in new pieces. They are stronger than the stock sleeves, and you can bore them out further. Stock 81mm B series bores arn't safe to anything past 82mm realisticly. The advantages of a larger bore are slightly quicker spool, and slightly better head flow. You don't really notice much difference from 81-84MM on the street though.

Search a bit more. Lots of people run forged pistons in stock B series sleeves.
