I plan on boosting a y8 heresoon..

I'll probably end up getting Vitaras with some Eagle rods, but the Vitaras come with Hasting rings. I was wondering if these are okay to use or if I should get some OEM rings.

And is it worth it to get the pistons coated? I've heard that helps them endure heat much better.. and I've searched but I'm still yet to find anything concrete about getting pistons coated.

 

I have a y8 w/ vitaras and eagles. It has been running flawlessly for about 12000 miles at 260 whp!
