Default Boosting my 7thgen

hey. im kinda new here and im lookin for some advice from you guys.

ive got a 2002 civic and i plan building a custom turbo kit over the winter and putting it all together in the spring.

first off, i plan on getting a log style manifold and i need some opinions on that. it is a very high quality polished manifold and all and fits a t3 with external wastegate. i ahve heard people say that qual length or tubular manifolds are alot better, but does it reall make a difference? also, i plan on runnin a t3 super 60 with a 35mm tial wastegate.

next, one problem with the 7thgen is that it does not have a return fuel system so fuel pressure cannot be easily adjusted. a new company just started making custom return fuel systems with braided lines and all for around $800 for my car, does that sound fair? also, i plan on running a greddy e-manage to tune my fuel system, is this an easy system to learn or will it be difficult for any normal dyno shop to tune?

another thing i have to deal with is alcohol injection. i plan on using my windshield reservoir to put the methanol or whatever i am using in there and use the stock pump attached to a relay/switch to inject the alcohol around 9-10 psi for when i am at the track. does this sound reasonable?

im sure i got some more questions and such to ask, but i cant think of them now, so ill just throw them at you guys later

thanks for the help and feel free to throw any suggestions or comments to me.

here is a basic list of what parts i plan on getting to build my custom turbo kit:

t3 super 60 turbo
35mm tial wastegate
custom polished log manifold
return fuel system
RSX type-s 330 cc injectors
greddy e-manage
alcohol injection
spearco 20"x8"x3" intercooler
greddy prefec b spec II EBC
greddy turbo timer
ACT stage 2 clutch (already have it)
hks ssqv BOV
2.5" downpipe/exhaust with apexi turbo muffler
gauges and all that good stuff

Everything looks good. The fuel return setup seems a little pricey but I have never shopped around for a fuel return setup at all.

I would upgrade the injectors to something like 450cc or 550cc.

Let us know what your goal horsepower is. How much boost you plan to run.

I have seen the Greddy E-manage was capable to pull a friend of mines 6th gen coupe into the 12's. However it is probably a good idea to have a professional tune it. I believe it runs a 16x16 fuel and ignition tables.

I would ditch the alcohol injection. Your only looks for more problems doing this.

On the manifold question, any equal length/tubular manifold will surpass any manifold. However, these manifolds can become really expensive. Log manifold fis probably the way to go if your on a budget, but if you have the money get a Love Fab, or a Full-Race mani. (not sure if Cody makes them though for the 7th gens though)

PM me if you have any other questions.

Jon

ya no one really makes parts for my car, so most of thr stuff has to be custom. i just found a really good deal of $200 shipped for a very nice custom log style manifold all polished and all, so i think thats what im goin with for that.

im shootin for 200-210 whp

i plan on maybe 7-8 psi for daily driving then uppin it to 9-10 for the track.

only reason i want the alcohol injection is for when running higher psi at the trck so the car will run better.

You might get a little more help over at 7thgencivic.com. You don't really have to worry about the non return line unless you're planning to run a good amount of hp. Also, I'm pretty sure the RSX come with 310cc injectors. I remember of thread on 7thgencivic.com where a person fit them, but didn't actually try them out. You might want to refer to that.
