Re: (PseudoSilvia)
When I use to ask people from Texas "how do you go without A/C" their response usually was "I'm a warrior". I guess it wasn't their daily driver, heh.

I have a/c. I think that if it affects your performance so much by losing 5hp from having a/c, then you're not making enough power

Re: Boosted in TX (Soon_2b_evil)
yeah i dont know about houston but i live in dallas and the summers can hit over 110 degrees, i used to have a 92 integra gsr without ac and in traffic id get darker by the time i get home like 30mins, and my shirt and pants would be wet where they were dripping sweat.. dont get rid of ac for 3-5 hp i know your not driving a 5-7 hundred monster (which if you were you shouldent be driving it on the streets) youll be so much happier with the ac youll be kicking yourself in the *** everyday around noon....

Guess that makes me a warrior. Of course I live in northwest Texas. All kidding aside, keep the AC, unless you enjoy the stench of your own B.O.

To me its not worth it unless your going all out. i would ditch power steering before a/c. this is not biased i had a/c and then i ditched it but wish i wouldnt have, (especially w/leather seats) besides girls wont care how fast your car is or how good it looks if there hair gets messed up and they break a sweat i garuntee you wont get any

Re: Boosted in TX (espano(ls))
My compressor popped off the bracket 1 month ago, now I think I have pissed in my pants everytime i get out the car. Or my mom wanted to ride with me yesterday for mother's, I'm glad we had a little breze here otherwise her mother's day hair due would have been a mother's day-night mare. But i do like the night time air, Were not as humid as houston......well .Sometimes.
A/c's a must.

a/c is a must, ive gone 3 years without a/c but I guess im used to it, my custom turbo doesnt allow a/c so im screwd. but if you're going to be living in tx then a/c is a must or you can just put up with the heat like me

Re: Boosted in TX (TurbothisLS)
a/c is for woosies You should be able to go fast enough 2 keep cool. My company provided work truck didn't have a/c and I was in it 8 hrs a day for 2 years. It however couldn't go fast enough to keep cool.. but you will get used to the heat and sweat. Just wear good deodorant LOL
*note my daily driver has all the creature comforts. So my suggestion is get a beater.. but I always recommend a second car anyway.
