6 psi only going to like 6k on the way home with vtec turned off and the AF in the low 10s since we didnt really get into the boost tune.. ripped tires open at 60mph in 4th gear.

felt good. even though it was raining

jerm had to add a lot of fuel to that map. he said my head flows air like a motha *****

Freakin' awesome . Love the stance with the low offset rims . Turbo set up looks badass too. Interesting BOV placement. Any reason besides looks for putting it there?

jeremy thought maybe it was a dropped valve.

very odd.

who knows what happens to these engines in their past lives too.

i guess they were only running 4 or 6 psi when something started making horrible noises, and it only starts sometimes. maybe its something stupid though.. who knows.

take it apart and find out!

NEVER!!!

i really do think a valve dropped. no biggie. i am buying a beater so i can build the motor and do a bunch of other **** over winter. IE shave bay, fix the little rust on the car, repaint the whole car, black interoir with a cage.. etc

when i get home from work i am going to set the motor TDC and check to see if the belt skipped. If thats ok then im going to remove the VC and take a peep.

As for the problem.. we were not even tuning the car in vtec yet. my AF was in the 10's at half throttle at like 4psi... i did a 3rd gear pull in non vtec and heard a pop noise at like 4500 rpm.. more like the sound of a poped off vac line.. car was chuggin along and the AF dropped to 10's while part throttle driving.. so a 1/4 mile away there was an exit... pulled off.. car barely ran.. shut it off and popped the hood. saw nothing. i had jerm crank it over and you can hear the compression go thru the exhaust and it sounded terrible... it started after 15 seconds of cranking and it was knocking. i think its the piston whacking the valve.. its the only think that makes sense. or it jumped a few teeth on the crank spocket.,. ill find out in a bit..

no biggie. **** happens. at least i got the car home in one piece.

well i just checked...

the timing belt did jump a tooth.. my plug wire for cyl 3 was kinda hanging from the dizzy... plug 3 was all wet along with the piston...

i can hear the valve hit the piston as i turn it over with a rachet. ima set the motor back to TDC and see how it feels then..

it is a tight motor.. head was milled some and it does have non oem valves in it.
