Default Boosted D16Z6

Hey guys.
Im new to the D16 world and I wanted to do something a lil different.
Everyone from my are has b18s and i wanted to boost my hatch.
A boosted D16Z6 isnt something ive seen and just wanted to try it.
Im looking to get anywhere from 250 to 275 hp out of my car and possibly run a 12 sec 1/4 mile.
I know ill be getting:
Race bearing
rod bolts
new rods
dished pistons
rings
Zex came
valve springs and valves
new gaskets
injectors
intake
p28a02 ecu chipped and tuned
Not exactly sure on what exactly to get yet but as a stated im trying to get 250 hp. If you have any suggestions itll be appreciated.
Thanks guys

for 250 - 300 hp you can keep the head and intake manifold/tb stock
block- vitara/YCP pistons they are aluminum though and cheap $150 with rings
people have been hitting over 300hp on those
or you can get any forged pistons you like cp,je, etc.

rods- you have two kinds H beam and I beam
I beam doesnt require you to notch your block but girdle though which is not hard
H beam will require you to to notch block and girdle

race bearings i believe there is none anymore since ACL is closed???????
you can find it but its pricey so i go with kings bearings

new water pump and timing belt
new oil pump and DIY porting the hole bigger for more flow
oem headgasket
ARP headstuds
NGK spark plugs 1 or 2 step colder for boost application

TURBO KIT:
a 57 trim or 60 trim
oil lines up to you
2.5in intercooler setup up to you
bov up to you
turbo manifold up to you
wastegate up to you
downpipe i like 2.25 or 2.5
injectors its always best to get higher cc (saturated) because they mostly cost about the same and if in the future you want more power you dont need to get another set
or 450dsm injectors with resistor box

i might be missing something else

+1 to what that guy said about the Suziki Vitara pistons except one correction, there are some guys running way over 500whp on the cheapo pistons ;-) Also, dont get that cam. look into the Delta '272-2' Bisi 2.4 "clone"..

I'm also doing a Z6 turbo build. I'm gonna run the stock bottom end until I feel like tearing my motor apart to install Vitaras+Hbeams..

I made 230whp @ 10psi on an 18G stock everything on my d16z6 with the exception of a 255 walbro, 310cc injectors, and BnM FPR. woulda made more power, but ran out of injector.

Erg. There's almost nothing you can do to a Civic that hasn't already been done. Search harder.

I'm running 22psi now and plan25-28 next spring.....400-450whp is the goal and I'm on vitara pistons and also the 272-2......link to my build thread in my signature

Like stated boosted d's are a dime a dozen....look around....if you lower your goals a bit 2-250whp can be done on a stock block d16 (with arp headstuds) on a good tune

VERY nice!! I'm gonna check out your build thread now :-)

The D's are what attracted me to Hondas. Cheap to build and theyre practically being throw away.. I'll prob never own a DOHC honda lol Think my next Honda build will be a boosted F22..
