It's a special clutch pack differential not to be messed with.
You can feel the lag time when you do a hard launch you hear and feel the jolt in the rear when it start to react to the front wheels slipping.

I think there's more of a need to make a complete transmission that makes the transmission full-time AWD and that is beefed up.
I don't really see something like that happening due to the fact that there's a lot of time that would go into development/research for something like this and there probably isn't much of a market for beefed up CRV transmissions.

OMG thank you ^ I said full time AWD is something thats a must already in this thread, if you removed the differential you wouldn't be able to turn properly and you'd cause transmission wind up.

I think the only place something like this would work would be at a drag strip, and even then I find it pointless because of the HP loss due to the 4WD transmission, not to mention high HP AWD "sports" cars have problems when the motors are modded. Imagine that same HP on an SUV transmission that's not meant to see anywhere near that much power.

Cr-V is an SUV now?
SUV's transmission have high torque ratings.
For example the NV3550 used in the jeep liberty has a 370ft lb rating.
