Default Boosted CRV

Somehow someway FWD can only achieve so much for traction

Anyone tried to boost CRV? Not swapping B20, but boost the actual car?

What do you guys think of swapping a built B18C engine to a CRV (due to it's potential)

How much do you think the AWD tranny of CRV can take?

It's a part time system that assist only when the front and rear wheels are spinning at different speeds.

It's not full time ( powering 4 wheels at all times) like the Lancer Evolution or Impreza.

It's part time 4wd not awd/full time 4wd.

The 4wd model did come as a 5 speed, I've seen several of them.

Yeah its weak ****.

All it needs is a center differential.

Just don't drag launch or throw general abuse at the drivetrain. Honda didn't build a total POS, its just not a race car in disguise.

I own a 2000 CRV with B18C6 (Euro Integra Type R) swap and a T3/To4E Turbo on it. I just run low boost (6psi). Engine has stock sleeves but 9:1 Wiseco's and Eagle rods.

It's build a year ago and no problems at all. Even with the **** manifold (hate me, but it sill holds, turbo and downpipe is braced).

I avoid hard launches due the weak drivetrain.

All in all it feels strong. Even with the low boost. Wheelspin (and rear diff noise) in 1st gear at 5000 rpm (when i hit full boost). Good enough to race VTEC CRX's

Maybe i turn up boost when i finally find time to replace the tiny exhaust to a full 2.5" or 3".

I'll make some pictures tomorrow - right now it's night over here.

This is a old photo. I run allready a different Air filter.

BTW: The turbo itself is a real Garrett T3/04E, Hotside .63 AR, Stage 3, Cold .50 or .60 with 57 Trim.

I would actualy like to have a daily driven turbo CRV... not something crazy but something fun to drive. I own an Element but its not the AWD.... so it wouldnt be fun cuz it already have a lack of traction on this truck....

You have a sleeved and fully built block and you only run 6 psi on t3/t04e? Turn it up yo..!!!

Forged internals and stock sleeves, that's prolly why he hasn't turned up the boost to crazy levels yet, oh, yea and also it would suck to blow that weak rear diff.
