boosted b16a help...
Still running stock motor, dont want to blow it up. What should I have it tuned for hp wise so the motor dosnt come apart. I know psi dosnt really matters its what horsepower the motor is making is the problem. I would like to have around 260-280whp IF its safe for the motor. Please let me know.
thanks
Jason
thanks

What size injectors are you running man?
From what I have read myself, 300 is the new 250whp for stock motors and I have to say I believe it. A friend of mine running a nice conservative Crome tune on a peiced together kit (nice one though) is running around daily at 285whp on DSM 450's and a completely stock untouched (not even head studs) B16. Granted he's not 16 and doesn't beat the hell out of it non stop but he has no problems with it at all.
We used to stop around 250 but engine management keeps getting better and making it easy to make more power safer. I would say your goals are well within reach.

still putting together my kit. but plan on running 550's or 660's. Stock motor id like around 280whp even if i need to get a headgasket to lower my compression. I plan on running a precision gt32-51 or gt32-61. I think im gonna go with the 61 because the car will be getting a built motor so i wont have to max out the 51 to make the power i want it to when it does have a built motor.
thanks for your help man
thanks for your help man
im about to put a custom kit w/ a gt30r on my 99 si. jason aka st00pid says 300whp will be fine on a stock b16 if its tuned, installed, w/ right parts.
in fact im getting this done in a about 2weeks or less

yea i want st00pid to come to NoVA
Ive herd the same thing. Jason Hunt says 300whp is ok on a b16 as well.
My car will be tuned using neptuned. I like the fact it had ALOT more features then hondata. Like changing timing tables in each gear. In other words makes 5th grear safe. I also like how it has a 2 step/anti lag and also how you can have neptuned control your boost. Have it set over 50 or 60 mph and more then 50% thort it will change from low boost to high boost.

actualy, head gaskets arnt the way to go for loweing compression. They dont help w/ supression of knock like they should because your raising the quench area of the flame path over the piston making it more easier to blow a head gasket from the flame moving outward towards the head gasket VS down onto the piston face. Pistons are the best way of loweing compression by far.
Yes but headgaskets are the cheapest and easies...
