Boosted Again and Tuned...
The turbo bug finally bit me again... Last week my friend Chris (aka Anger) helped me re-install my turbo kit... I originally installed it at 127,XXX miles and took it off at 147,XXX miles in favor of air conditioning... (Four Bolt Garret Housing) Anyway, this time I purchased a Hondata (thanx DIRep) instead of re-installing with inline and fmu...
Well Tuesday I went for some tuning, and ended up making the following numbers... Boost levels are a bit off, due to shitty Autometer gauges, but I'm working on getting some Greddy's... Boost cut is set to 11 psi, and it never hit it...
On 10psi I made 280 whp and 244 wtq... ... I was hella surprised, and pleasantly pleased... However, my motor has over 150K on the odometer, and I wanted her to last a little while longer so I decided to turn down the boost... After re-adjusting the boost level to 8psi, I was able to put down 242 whp and 220 wtq... Needless to say I was pleased with both sets of numbers...
My set-up is as follows...
T3/T04E-.60a/r Compressor .48a/r exhaust
Pann Auto Manifold
Tial 35mm wastegate with 4psi spring
Turbo XS High Performance Boost Controller
2.5" downpipe-no cat-Greddy PE2
RC 550cc injectors
Stock Ignition-External Coil
HKS SSQ BOV
Stock MAP Sensor
It runs really good, and I am very pleased with the outcome... Much thanx to everyone that helped get me back on the road (DIRep, Espanol, Anger, Arturbo, Blap Blap, Quik B18B<--inspiration, and Stoney from VSV)...

Dustin, we have an pair of 14" nitto drags in the garage. I was going to take them out to Ennis and do a comparison with the falken azenis, but if you'd like let me figure out which ones im going to run on and I'd be willing to let you run on the other ones, Falken or Nitto's

That's funny. Your part is a Jiggalo and it has not spiked or failed me one time. I haven't seen boost cut.

It was a little lean on the 280 run, so we added some fuel and it went down to like 274whp on the same psi, but I wanted it to last so I turned the boost down from there...
I am assuming it was 10psi, because like Chris stated my boost guage sucks... POS Autometer... But boost cut was set to 11.3psi and I'm running stock MAP sensor, so I know it never went above 11 psi...

Yup... WHen you get Hondata, you have to get a larger intank fuel pump, and larger injectors... Then the Hondata will control the fuel pressure for you...
