Default boost and vafc question

i have a 94 integra gsr with t3/4 turbo and tial wastegate. i have a 5 pound spring in the car and a 8 pound sitting in the garage. i've heard of people running more than 10 on stock block. i want to put the eight pound in but i was wanting opinions of more experienced people first. i have 145,000 miles but everything is good. no problems what so ever. i plan on rebuilding the motor but i have to wait to sell some wheels and tires before i buy some engine parts. my question is would eight pounds be too high? and would i have to change the settings on my vafc controller and if any one has a similar setup, what are your settings on the vafc? any help would be appreciated. thanx

just use the smaller spring u can always up the boost w/ the boost controller. many people use the small spring and still go up to 20lbs. but if u want it to be consistent at 8lbs then use eight

I say just wait for the rebuild, if all you need to do is sell some stuff and your on the way to a rebuild. Your better off with lower boost just to maintain reliabilty. Plus you wont have to hassle with new settings until its not gonna need to be changed for a long time. Dont get me wrong 8psi is just fine, but your safer with 5 and a rebuild in the mix.
