Default boost spike from hell

so okay, i got tuned a few days ago and the wastegate was holding the 7psi spring fine. no problems on the dyno or on the street. about 2days ago, i keep spiking. liek it just goes up alot higher then its supposed to. liek a few ,minutes ago, i gave my friend a little ride. and my zeitronix boost display read 11.9. thats ALOT higher then the 7 its supposed to be. help me out. what could be the cause? how would the wastegate be FINE then all of a sudden take a crap?? even if thats the casue. i have a mbc inline with the vacuum line to the wastegate and it doesent have hoseclamps on it or anything, but it didnt when it was working fine at 7 either. give me some help, i really need it. i really dont wanna mess omething up and the 11.9 really scared me. reply asap please

well, first put one solid vacuum line to the wastegate instead of the MBC and 2 smaller lines.... check those... IF it still does it.. then you have alot more that it could be...

if it is one of the lines around the MBC, clamp it down

my guess is that either a vaccuum line pulled off, or your MBC could be leaking...

Ive also had a problem with my wastegate goin to 10-11 psi... it was a problem with my boot inside the wastegate itself... i took it off and took it apart.... fixed it no problem

it was a cheap SSAC wastegate...once i fixed it, i never had any more problems with it....
i now have a 38mm TIAL just for that bigger sence of security......

turn the controller all the way off. then slowly open the low side to the desired boost is acheived.
if your only goingot be boosting low boost that dual stage was a complete and utter WASTE of $ and of a nice controller. peopel use the dual stage to run liek 9-12 or more for low street boost and then high teens+ for race.

if your doing 7 psi then it sounds leik your jsut way to low for that controller.

well i got a new vacuum hose and it works fine. it hits 6.7 lbs. i guess it was because it wasnt clamped to the boost controller
