Boost Solenoid for AEM EMS

Boost Solenoid for AEM EMS
NOT THE GM SOLENOID!
Im looking for a boost solenoid that has threaded ports and is inexpensive like the GM solenoid. Pulse width, 2 wire, 3 way.
The Greddy boost controller fits this description but you can't purchase it seperately.
The Apex boost controller has threaded ports but its $122 for just the solenoid!
Anybody know of any others that fit that description?

Re: Boost Solenoid for AEM EMS (richeybrooks)
I dont think your going to find a boost soleniod with threaded ports for the price of the gm boost soleniod. there is a long tread on the aem website talking about finding a cheaper alternative. so far to my knowledge no one has found a cheaper alternative. I'm using the apexi boost soleniod with my aem ems and I love it.

But you can buy the GM for $13 at the dealer...its pretty unbeatable. My roommate just put one on his AEM in his eclipse - works perfect.

I have the GM solenoid, its works fine. But I just want a solenoid with threaded ports so it will work with the "Muckman kit" which uses SS braided line with fittings.
It doesnt nessecarily have to be <$20 like the GM. Just not over $100 like the Apex. This thread is meant to tap the collective brain of Honda-Tech; to see what else is out there.

I also have been searching for a boost solenoid with the threaded ports but that electromotive unit is 127 bucks too and for that price range I would just stick with the apexi?Unless someone knows where to get them cheaper ?I saw them on racetep.com

If hes complaining about a $122 apex solenoid why mention the $80 dollar perrin?
Anyway these two boost controllers are the best out of all mentioned in this thread. All boost solenoids arent the same the perrin and apex are the ones where you see a significant difference from.

retail street price is around $110-125

Re: Boost Solenoid for AEM EMS (Muckman)
Here's the EXACT solenoid AEM sells/uses:
Part number: 36A-AAA-JDBA-0GA
MAC Valves,
Inc. U.S.A.
30569 Beck Road
Wixom, MI 48393-7011
U.S.A.
Phone
1-800-MAC VLVS
(248) 624-7700
Fax
(248) 624-0549
Email
mac@macvalves.com
They are around $25-$30/each, might have a little bit of a lead time. They are anodized blue and everything like the AEM ones are.

if u have aempro installed, check your aempro directory inside program files, u will see a directory called instructions, look for the 30-2400

Re: (TURBO4drTypeR)
I have not purchased the AEM solenoid yet. But what size fittings does it use so I can run stainless steel lines for the boost solenoid. Anyone know what items I need to accomplish this?

What makes them better and how do they compare to the AEM solenoid?
