This is tech related but not really vehicle specific so ill post it here. I have a turbo XS manual boost controller. It says to put the key in and turn it clockwise until it stops. Once it stops the turbo wont see any boost. Well I turned it like 20 or so times and the boost is still reading 7psi. Tried turning it the opposite way to raise it and still 7psi. Im I supposed to hear some clicking or some kind of resistance to know that its turning properly?
turn it all the way down, i think it's clockwise. which will give you STOCK boost. what ever the boost setting is on the wastegate.
Now do single full counter clock wise turn. Turn it once, and take the car for a spin. keep doing this until you get the boost settings you want.
You're not supposd to hear any clicking. it's a bleeding MBC.

Well its DRAG 3 kit on an integra so I think 7psi is the stock boost for the wastegate on the kit. Its at 7 right now so that must mean its at stock boost. Whats a bleeding MBC?

Well the insturctions says if you keep turning it clockwise to turn the boost down the adjusting screw will close and you will be unable to turn it anymore but I never reached that point so im wondering if the key is even doing anything.
there are two type of MBC. a bleeder and spring-ball.
this turboXS is bleeder. i have it on my sr20 btw.
7psi is where your wastegate is set. so the mbc will be starting from that. connect all the vaccum lines correctly and adjust accordinly.
Turning it clockwise will bring the boost back to stock. Now turn it counter-clockwise will raise the boost. What a MBC does is "trick" the wastegate. The wastegate think it's 7psi. but the MBC is bleeding the excess vaccum so it. so it keeps building up boost.
do this. turn the key all the way down, clockwise. then do 4 full counter clockwise turns. now take the car for a spin. i think that should give you like 12psi. my car is 7psi stock too and i have it about 4 full turns.
