Default Boost Problem? Help!

Alright, just got my boost gauge hook up and its reading 4-5 lbs of psi and the a/r fuel ratio is rich. Is this correct or its something wrong? I am unsure about the wastegate spring, I heard it could be a 5 lbs spring or 7? and it comes with the drag kit.

if have have a 5 psi spring and it's reading 5 psi.

how could that not be correct.

as for the a/f rich is better then lean, but if you not measuring that with a wideband. you never really know what you have..

If your wastegate is getting a boost signal from before the intercooler, i.e. the turbo, it will boost less due to the i/c's pressure loss. If you tap a pressure signal from your intake manifold, it will read the actual pressure your engine is seeing, and therefore produce another pound or two, depending on how bad your i/c's pressure loss is.
