boost problem
yo i have a 01 integra ls automatic, with a modified greddy SOHC kit, using a NOS inline f uel pump and vortech 12:1 FMU,, apexi bov, ITR catback, missing link. those are basically my only " gofast" mods and the car feels pretty slow still !!!, no CEL's, its boosting 5 psi, i have a slight exhaust leak but i still hit 5 PSI at 3K RPM, is it jsut cuz its automatic? cuz i've installed/driven SOHC greddy kits on many civics , EX's, DX's etcc. i retarded teh igntion 2 degrees and im using NGK-R cold 11's and i still hear a little pinging up on the top end, im using 91 octane which is all shitty *** california can get us; i tried emptying out my tank and ran 1.5 gal 100 octane with prob 1 or 2 gal 91 octane, and the pinging went away. Any suggestions on what i should do? just get another turbo kit, or maybe theres a way to diagnost my problem. I used to shoot a 50 shot nitrous wet single fogger and it was a LOT stronger than what my car runs right now. I could at feel the wheels scrub for traction while i shoot Nitrous, with turbo its pretty pathetic. help me out guys! thanks

Re: boost problem (project dc2)
forgot to mention, sometimes at half throttle there woudl be a loud POP, like teh exhaust backfired but its inside the engine bay, and i could feel it on my gas pedal a small nudge, usually whne that happens the mtor hesitates a little.

I dunno what that pop is, but it sounds like a misfire which isen't good.
I have a rev hard kit and only boosting 6psi but I could tell you there is a WORLD of difference like you wouldn't believe between my car before boost and after... I have no numbers to show you but the car is damn fast, hits .45bar (6psi) around 4500 somewhere around there.
You also have to remember your running a TINY turbo, the greddy ain't no big turbo with their sohc or even dohc kits... my turbo is nearly twice the size of yours compressor wise... that could be it... or you could have something wrong with your motor/trans from shooting dry nitrous too much which isen't all that un-common.
Do a compression test and leakdown if you can, it will help diagnosis.
