i have a ls/v in a 1996 civic..i recently installed a turbo with all the necessary components.. i got a base map so i would be able to drive the car to the exhaust shop to get my exhaust done... but when i start the car my wideband will read 14.7 then after a few seconds it will start going toward 17.8 and then three dashes will come on.. this is a aem wideband.. i understand thats very lean.. ... the car is a completestock motor with rc 440's 255 walbro in the tank.. 63.ar turbo.... i have check the line to the boost guage and it is getting vaccum... even when i drive the car around the block boost does not build... i was told it was my basemap tune making the car run so lean.. is this correct?

the wideband has to warm up. before u start the car, let the wideband go to lean before u start the car.
Have the car tuned.

Double checkk all the pipes and vacuum line

ok .. i will let thewideband warm up... i have check all the lines but dont see any leaks. i have got the tune readjusted today.. he (richen) the map up alittle... very little difference

Either the charge pipe is leaking or turbo is not boosting. If there's no holes in your charge pipes then it's gotta be either the turbo, intercooler, bov, or wastegate

well i put the computer in... started the car let it warm up... it stays at about 16.8 at idle now.. when i press the gas it will stay at about 14.8-15.2... but now that i have got this new adjustment of the tune the car boggs completely at 3k.. every time wont go over.. but in netural it will rev fine... im going to try and post a video up of me driving it...i honestly think its all in the tune..

no it isnt running rich now... its alittle better at idle then it was but its still lean... well i went to wired electronics in jersey and got the turbo basemap from john cui the creator of chrome.. but i had to go back to him cuz it had erratic idle and it was running lean, he told me to come back so he could richen it up it helped but very little... before the car would drive pass 4k now it wont go over 3k making me think its the tune...

the basemap that was in the car was for allmotor...and the idle was perfect... i go get the new basemap... idle is lopey and it runs very lean.... second time i go he readjust the map... alittle better but still running lean and the idle is erractic one second its fine then jumps up and this is at idle.... i was going to send my car there to be tuned but if they cant even give me a basemap right... when i drove the car the first time with the new tune he went to 4k and alittle over.. now this readjustment wont go over 3k

Every tune and motor is different. But also remember, it's just a basemap, not a full tune

i know i need a tune.. i have an appointment this saturday... but i would like to try and take care of little issues so i dont hold up the tuner and if its something i can fix now instead of paying someone else to do it.. i want to
