Default boost gauge?

well i finished the turbo install this evening and heres the problem. I know that the car isnt going to run worth a **** because i had to hack the downpipe so that i could install it. Im taking it to the muffler shop monday morning to get the rest of the it welded back together. So there obviously is no O2 sensor in the system right now, and of course because of this its throwing a cel 41 (O2 sensor) and running in limp mode. however my boost gauge with the car sitting at idle is around 20 vacuum. while driving normal on the way home it was around the same. i got on it a bit on the way home so i could hear the turbo spool up but i didnt read any boost. the gauge went from 20 vac. to 0 as soon as i stepped on it, but never read above zero. anyone know why? is it because the car is in limp mode?

That's normal, you're not making boost.

Wait until it's tuned to boost. If it still doesn't boost, you have a boost leak. Check couplers/piping/etc

do not boost on it if its untuned, it only takes it that one chance and boom there goes your rings/rods/pistons

check all of the intercooler piping, make sure its all very secure and tight.

also check and see if air comes out of your wastegate at idle, and make sure the bov is tightened down to the flange and has a gasket

l0l he should NOT go to a tuner if his car isnt making any boost

Any tuner with a busy schedule will laugh in your face if you bring them a car thats not ready

what injectors are in it?
