boost dilemma

boost dilemma
hey guys please help me....everytime I go into boost over 5k my rpm needle will jump from say 5k to 7k or 6k to 8k...I thought that the boost was knocking out the spark so i changed my plugs and the problem did go away for 2days but returned...also the car is studering in high rpm..a friend said it may be a cracked ringland. any one know what this might be? if it were a cracked ringland wouldn' t
there be other symptoms? please help, thanks.

to gap the plugs is to set the electrode and tip to a cartian distance from one another so the spark travels the correct distance or what not.

No i did not so anyone think that by not gapping them it owuld cause the sputtering to resume almost instantly???? thanks guys.
