Thanks, ill look into that. It holds boost rock solid from 60*-80* weather, in the 50*'s the past 2 days it hits boost cut like crazy

Maybe just a street tune to clean up your regular tune.. real world driving and dyno are 2 different things.

Try adjusting your temp comp under the boost control tab. I was having the same issue. You'll have to experiment with what to use. Look at your IATs and tweak with the solenoid duty cycle based on the temps you are seeing.

For example at IAT of 60F I had to knock back my duty cycle 1%. Doesn't sound like much but it makes a difference.

If that doesn't help try working with the solenoid duty cycle and/or frequency. It could be the change in wastegates (even thought they are the same size) has affected the settings.

Good luck.

sounds like your duty cycle for the EBC needs adjusted for the new wastegate

ill look into that tomorrow. I searched and couldnt find what I was looking for. My tuner ramped up the boost through each gear, now its not noticeable as it immediately blows the tires off through 4th gear. Ill update after some adjusting in Smanager. Thanks for the input fella's.

What brand manifold do you have? You're talking about getting a race gas tune to make more power probably, but if stuff is cracking, you have other problems. Remember that a weld is always the weakest point on something, so it has already cracked, it will likely crack again where it was fixed.

BRMS ramhorn. The weld must have been week. The car is not slammed with a harsh ride, the dumptube is not excessively long with added weight, and there is zero wheelhop with innovative mounts and traction bar. I figured I would give it a shot to weld it up one time, if it happens again ill look into another manifold.

Took the car out and datalogged. Then tried adjusting around the duty cycle a little and didnt seem to help much. If I cant get it figured out ill just get my tuner to adjust it when I take it back for the race gas tune in the near future. Here is what it was setup as originally.

Its very simple. Colder air = more dense combustion = higher boost pressure levels than what the original tune had. Adjust your boost controller. Anything lower than 50* is going to affect the amount of boost pressure you're utilizing.

OP are you hitting boost cut in every gear? What is your boost cut set at? and if your car was working fine when it was 70 degrees I would only adjust the Air Comp. Table . The picture you show looks like your actual tune not a datalog of whats happening, in Real time watch what the EBC duty cycle is doing vs actual boost.

Boostcut is at 18 psi. Pretty much every gear. Above is a screen shot of the air temp compensating settings that it is set on, tried to adjust but with with no luck so far.

Drop your duty cycle to 30% and see what happens. You'll have to toggle the fixed duty cycle on, make the change, and then toggle boost by gear.

Do you know for sure that 53% duty cycle equates to 17 psi? With my setup I have found that having these numbers off a little bit makes a huge difference.

What IATs are you seeing?

Ill try that after work today. I dont know for sure if 53% is 17 psi yet, ill have to look back tonight. Datalog showed IAT's were around 120* I believe during pull's, crusing going down the highway they were around 90-100*

Before doing any of the changes I suggested, drop the temp correction to 0 for 120 and 302 and see what happens.

I was battling this very same issue for 2 weeks before I got it dialed in.

Dropping the frequency should make a significant difference. If it doesn't, then you have a physical issue (ie vac lines or something else).

I figured you had already checked it out, but just making sure.

Also, if you have the filter on the solenoid, take it off and see if that makes a difference. Probably won't, but again, covering all bases.

Yeah the filter is still on. It's raining tonight, so it will have to wait a day or two for a test drive

It's starting to sound like their isn't boost control at all coming from the EBC. the only reason I say that is in boost by gear you are trying to hit from 8psi to 16psi only it's going right to boost cut of 18psi. Are u sure the EBC is working? GL
