Default Boost Controllers

Suggestions for electronic boost controllers? What are some of your opinions, experiences with the different models? AVC-R, Blitz, Greddy, HKS?

do a search... the was a poll on this just the other day.

top contenders are the avcr and the profec b... avcr being great for more features, and the profec being the best for simplisticity

super street did a shoot out of 4 different boost controllers. apexi, greddy, hks, and blitz, and for whatever reason the blitz provided the most HP gain, the hks second, the greddy third and the apexi fourth. just to let ya know!

hmm... boost controllers dont cause an increase in horsepower do they? the only way there could be a difference in horsepower between the controllers was if they were set at different boost levels right?

unless they were measuring how quick the controllers would allow the turbo to spool... in any case, i dont really trust super street. they have always seemed to have strange "biases."

yeah i didn't understand how it would work either, but they showed peak HP with each controller, set at the same boost level. i believe .85 bar and they were all different. ill find the article and post specifics, or look on their website, but yeah i don't understand!

wow, that's strange. the differences are pretty small, so could it just be the car pulling different numbers each time? i mean it's pretty normal for cars to do that.

it still doesn't make sense to me how a boost controller could add horsepower other than by adding more boost. (maybe they didnt get the controllers to hold at the same boost levels?)

oh well, super street
