Default Boost Controllers

Anyone run the greddy profec type s yet? I was thinking about getting the AVC-r, but heard they were having problems so I'm looking for an alternative. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I heard they were recalling a lot of them so I didn't want to go with them...anyone heard the same or had any problems?

crome if you count that as an ems. Was just wondering on the hks one though, since if spend 2-3k on a turbo setup, wouldnt you want some decent electronics to go with it?

I'm with you on that...I have pretty much everything for the setup minus a couple little things. The boost controller being one of them. SO I'm interested in what people are running electronically

I'm running the profec type s. No problems. I have the low set at 12psi and the high at 24psi and i switch between the two with my horn button. Works great.

How much HP are you making?

I personally run an electronic dual stage boost controler with high/low setting. Its pointless to be in 'high' setting on the street anyways so 'low' boost is plenty. but even at 323whp 257trq @ 18psi w/ DRs i don't have any probs with traction at the track.

why not spend that hard earned cash elsewhere? get an LSD if you havn't already.

which controller are you running? I have not gotten all the peices together yet. The boost controller is one of them. I will be getting an LSD before boosting. I plan on making probably wround the same boost as you. What did you run with your setup?

I'm using the turbo XS. Ive only been out racing against the tree a couple of times and still need to dial in the car and susension but the last time i was out it would run consistent 12.8s.

Can you guys elaborate a lil on why you like the Hallman? Thanks

um whats a 2 step again? Only thing i can think of is that thing with hondata for the launch control, where you set it to w/e rpm and just floor it and it will stay at that rpm until you start moving and wont go higher till you get traction

i also run the obx lsd

its like magic. I rode in my buddies one-legger turbo honda that think would peel up through 3rd, mine with a pretty similar setup puts it right to the street.

Even if i punch it in 2nd its just chirps a bit then pulls like a rocket, its pretty incredible; im only makin 300whp but when its all gettin to the ground it makes a big diff.
