a search would show many threads covering boost controllers and their pros/cons. but just for a little help to direct you in the right direction, the apexi avc-r allows you to set different boost levels in different gears. very confusing and i havent heard of many people who have mastered it but feel free to give it a try

AVC-R probably has the most setting options.

The profec B Spec II is also a nice choice. Has a digital display and plenty of options as well.

For a gear based boost controller you are looking at 3 choices. Apexi AVC-R(least expensive), Innovative MSBC-1(2nd least expensive), and the World-Electronics unit.(most expensive) I don't think the blitz is gear based, maybe speed based but im not sure. Unless you are already going 10's or trying to go 9's you would probably get a better return for your money with a basic Profec-B and scramble button between low and high boost. The turboXS dual stage MBC is also very simple and accurate, and well priced too.
