Default Boost Controller

I am thinking my first mods on the sti will be an exhaust down pipe, and midpipe and a boost controller. how much boost can i safely run on stock internals?

I know people making <edit>250+</edit> on stock internals. If it were me and I had the money I would invest in a UTEC or Unichip.

Well if it is any consolation my friend w/ an '02 WRX is running...

-GReddy Airnix intake
-Godspeed uppipe
-Perrin downpipe
-Skunk2 exhaust
-Maxim Works manifold (:drool
-GReddy Profec B low boost street is .7bar (10.29psi) street and 1.2bar (17.64psi) track, balence set @ 50%. No knock. Running strong for over a year.

He also has ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel w/ 17" SSR Comps and 225/45/17 Azenis w/ Tein S-tech's and has pulled of low low 13's at a little over 100mph w/ 1.8's.
