Default Boomslang Fabrication Conversion Harness? Yay or nay?

I saw the Boomslang ad on the HT advertisement banners and I was attracted to the $75 dollar shipped OBD2B to OBD1 harness. Now, my question is, how can they sell theirs for dirt cheap versus other manufacturers who sell them for upwards of $150? Has anyone had experience with the harness, how is the quality? How can they sell it for that cheap? Do they cut corners on materials? Thanks!

I'm using the SVE Harness. They are pretty cheap and it works perfect.

im going to have to go ahead and lean towards nay because thats the only thing between my wiring that i redid ever so perfect and my ecu. i checked everything still throws codes 9 and 21 this is on a p08 ecu if anyone knows why this would be , please post. believe me i checked EVERYTHING 372,000 times over. boomslang is still great quality, maybe i just got a lemon or my problem lies elsewhere.

So your saying that boonslang harness isnt good?

I need to buy a a harness for my hondata setup. I have a P28 ecu and my car is a 99 GSR. PM me prices. Im very interested in buying a harness that isnt overpriced. I will not pay $150 for something when $75 does the same thing.

I have only had 1 problem thus far on one of his 2-1 harnesses. I guess where he got the pinouts from online work ok. But his 0-1 harnesses are always wrong and his instructions are . I don't know where he copied the pinouts for the 0-1 harness, but they need some love.

would say go for it. i got mine 0-1 harness from them. i sent them the pinout for my csr to make sure they got it right. as my pinout is slightly different from a 0-1 civic one.

One of the pins going into the main clip broke on mine from from bending

It should be able to withstand more then a little bend instead of just breaking off.

I fixed mine by soddering it but I'd say its worth the few dollars more because a wire can bend and break were its pinned by handling it. Other then that happening, I like the Boomslang. Although I didn't get the $75 deal.
