blown rings already?
I just put my turbo kit on just about a week ago. It's running 6psi, and I dont even get on it a lot. I've noticed that when I get on it, smoke comes out the back, it's hard to tell the color, but im pretty sure it's not black smoke. Did a compression test, 175-175-165-175...this is a 2000 b16. I did a compression test before it was boosted also, i cant remember the numbers, but they werent any higher than 200, and the motor was running strong with no smoke. Could I just be running rich? I'm running on 43psi of fuel pressure(at idle), 255 fuel pump, 12:1 FMU, and a socketed p28 programmed for NA(FYI: retarded my timing at the dizzy). I'm hoping it's just running rich, and not burning oil.

Re: blown rings already? (See Are X)
does the motor still run strong or do you feel any difference? does it smoke even at idle or just under boost?
check your oil cap for coolant, check the coolant in the radiator (make sure its not empty), and overflow tank (make sure its not full)...

Re: blown rings already? (jdmturbosol)
my oil pan was leaking lots of oil....i'm guessing thats where it was coming from, because I changed my oil pan gasket, doesn leak, and no more smoke. I don't know how that would cause it to only smoke after I gun it...oh well, at least it doesnt smoke anymore
