Icon6 "blower made it slower"

Here's my situation. I just put a JRSC on my d16y8, and now have some problems. I have my own theorys and some friends opinions, so i figured i look for more support.

First off,the setup:
3.5" nose pulley
3" elbow for intake
b16 throttle body
cheap 4-1 header
stock cat "boo"
2 1/4" cat back
holley FMU "I KNOW CRAP"

The first problem:
The idle now bounces between 1k and 2k. If it idles for too long after the car is warm I get a CEL for the IACV. It doesnt throw the code all the time but i get it at least once a day. I changed the IACV and nothing changed

The second problem:
At part throttle the boost gauge reads 8-9psi and pulls hard as hell. But at full throttle i see 10psi and its slower than it was naturally aspirated. I think the map sensor is clogged because of some RTV silicone. gonna check this weekend.

So theres my little sob story, figured id put it out there and see what i got back.
serious and stupid comment welcome,lol.

I checked those plugs and there is no way i could mix them up they dont reach anything other than what they came off of. I had to extend the IACV wires, thought i might have switched a wire or two around, but its fine. Someone told me its going to do that till i tune it.

Wat is your ignition timing at? It sounds like your running an FMU at 10lbs and thats a nono. You need to look into a proper setup asap before ur lil d series is toast.

I'll just take a guess its a stock fuel pump. You're cranking the fuel pressure WAY over what the stock pump can deal with. You may also have a melted cat due to the extreme heat from running lean, or huge amount of fuel that got dumped in early on. Douse a cat with gas then feed it fire, and it melts like a candle.

If your MAP is clogged, you'll have huge issues. That's how it decides to give it gas and timing. I'm guessing you have a missing link installed, to be a check-valve against boost.

well you said you switched throttle bodies right? well did you set the idle? what you do is unplug the iac and see where it is idleing. then from there adjust the screw on the throttle body til it is good.that can solve the cel problem. as for the the feeling better at 8-9 psi then 10 you have a tune problem. i bet you are running super rich, it happens alot with running an fmu. are you running a 5to1 or a 10 to1 fmu? well just my 2 cents.

HiProfile, i dont have a missing link, should i? even though the boost source is after the MAP. Ill definatly swap that fuel pumpand maybe the cat too.
dravesef, I put the same throttle body ive been running, it ran fine before. Not sure on the type of FMU, its a Holley adjustible unit. the site said its adjustible from 40psi to 70psi, got it turned about half way in so im blindly guessing its at about 50-60psi.
To all, this thing will be tuned. I have a P28 with an s200. just need a jumper harness, bigger injectors, and a fuel pump. i was just tired of seeing the blower sit in the closet.
Thanks to everyone for there input.

Be careful, those could be your famous last words. Impatience is a killer of many engines.
