ummm * scratches head*

you might want to research what each item does.

a wastegate is used to regulate boost by letting exhaust gases out before it hits the turbine wheel to prevent it from spooling up faster and creating more boost.

a blow off valve is to let out air once your throttle plate is shut to prevent surging or " back spinning" your turbo. This is done to preserve the life if your turbocharger

it could have gone alot wore.

Be sure that u are 100% informed when peicing a turbo kit together otherwise u might as well sell the car now or atleast buy another engine.

Ive bought MANY turbo'd cars b/c they kept blowing up, they thought thats how it was suppose to work when really they had no idea how to tune or what it even was.

Even some car experts don't know the difference, so don't feel bad. I remember watching a video of Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear testing an old Bugatti, and he referred to the BOVs as wastegates as they vented behind him.

^^^Precisely. Plus you just threw yourself into the lions den on here. It's not called Hater-Tech for nothing Alot people on here are either just:
A.) straight ***-holes with no personal communication skills,
B.) high-school e-thugs, or
C.) people that hate life so they take it out on other people.

One thing most forget is that they too started in your shoes. Perhaps they forgot about that day, but if they were to stop and think about it....they didn't know everything right off the bat and I'm sure they asked what they think now as foolish questions.

You need more practice on how to "filter BS" here on HT.com . I still find HT.com a lot more resourceful if I was looking for something specific. I can google all night and I end up with a bunch of crap.
