Default blow off valve

ok, i have a blitz bov installed on my new turbo setup that i finished today...and i know you have to run a vacuum to it, but i cant really hear it...although i havent really gone above 5k...is there something wrong with it, or is that normal for low rpm?? because i know a guy that has one that you can hear basically anytime, so im just curious

What VAC source do you use? You have to kinda put the pedal to the medal so that the throttle is pretty open and just let go....I'm guessing you used a wrong source of VAC or you T'd like 797453974674 things to 1 source..

a good rule is no more the 2 items to one source...use the VAC on your cruis control

Then run the vac line from the nipple on the manifold that used to run to the cruise. I used mine for the boost gauge.

quick question... which are the best sources to use for turbo stuff. i know the fpr, cruise, umm... where else is a good spot. I'm just thinking i will have only the bov, boost gauge, and wastegate hooked up, so what would be an ideal placing for the sources... meaning like would it be best to run the w/g off it's own soure, then have the bov and boost gauge off the fpr or something?

if your turbo has a fitting then you can connect your wastegate/boost controller there.. mine didn't so i tapped those into the piping before the intercooler.. my fpr has its own vac and so does my bov.. one day i'll figure out cruise control but its not that important and my powerfc/boost guage works off of the map sensor...

it says your using a straight T4 turbo so i'd imagine your motor has a hard time even thinking about spooling it until at least 5000.. when you hear all those other guys that can get their valves to pop at stoplights and stuff by revving to 1500 rpm it just means they have the tiniest turbo ever

Mine is set up like this:

BOV: To brake booster vac line. Unless it's to this large vac line, it wont seem to work for me. Try T'ing it off your vac line.
WG: To the intake mani. Backside (For my ZC). Use its own source if possible.
Boost Guage: Own source from intake mani also. If you don't have extra nipples, try the FPR...But don't do more than like 2 on it.

I had my WG hooked directly to my turbo when I first installed the kit. The problem is that pressure (~1-2psi) is lost if you have an intercooler...So the WG reads what is right at the turbo (Say 7psi)...But by the time it gets to your intake mani you are only boosting like 6psi max... I just blocked my nipple coming off my turbo, and hooked the WG directly to the intake mani...so it reads the true psi going in to the engine...and not before the intercooler.

but even if it hits full spool at around 4500, it should still be spooling up a little before...so i would think i wouldnt have to hit full spool everytime to get the bov to sound

when you hooked the wastegate to the intake mani doesnt it hit vacuum when your off the throttle? with that said wouldnt the wastegate slam shut? your way sounds kinda right but sounds a bit off.
