blow engine video. >>
one word... DAYUM!!! Looks like the M3 isnt so shitty huh? lol. that sound of the motor was nasty. "wasssss that urrrrrrrcar, wasssss that urrrr engine?" yeah definately a stoner. hahah. this video will definately be kept for future references.
When this video came out about a year ago the guy that posted it said that his buddy was just at the dentist and his mouth was still numb which is why he sounded retarded.
Tthe last time this was posted the friend of the owner of the car thats on this site said the car was seriously fast and making around 450hp on stock bottom end at the time it went.

From the video it looks like the stock t25 turbo, at best its the t28 upgrade. You really have to work pretty hard to crack a 4g63 with that turbo, but i guess it can be done. In any case. watching the second video, I saw some signal lines that would be condusive to a manual boost controller and hopefully a boost gauge. I guess what could be said is that in the wrong hands a manual boost controller can break stuff LOL.
In any case, here is a stock 1990 4g63 stretching its legs like it does every day of its life (even in the winter).

LOTS OF BOOST.......AWD.........DROP THE CLUTCH = 1 RUN PER EVERY 3000$ DOLORS YOU HAVE TO REBUILD THE BITCH.....I HAVE A GS-T RIGHT NOW......SORRY TO SAY BUT WHAT THE HELL, THE PARENTS BOUGHT IT FOR ME..........SAVED ....NOW I ALSO HAVE A BOOSTED CRX........THE SOUND OF BOOST IS ADDICTING.....WETHER IT BE GROM A DSM OR A HONDA
This was discussed over on DSMtuners at length. The car had a Forced Performance "Green" turbo (50 trim) and was making close to 450whp as omaha stated on a bone stock motor as it came from Mitsu with bolt-ons alone. Stock 2g internals will take ~400whp and he just chose to push the limits. The car was making almost 3 times the power that it came with from the factory and the motor held for a good period of time before it finally gave...that to me is amazing. The 4g63 is a finnicky bastard but if you treat it right, it'll return big numbers for little bucks.
As a side note, I've owned and driven a nicely modded 99 GSX for over 2 years now with no problems of any kind. The poor reliability reputation comes from the idiots who don't do proper maintenance and drive the cars like they are stolen every chance they get.

yeah...I saw this a while back...someone was trying to convince me that the owner did it on purpose because he wanted to swap in a built motor....yeah right...I always worry about my parents when I swap my motors...
i mean wtf would you do if you were racing someone and that **** happened to the other guy
i think i would at least stop and help him pick up the pistons and sh*t.
hahahah.
platinum.

i've owned a lot of dsms, and as long as you keep synthetic fluids in, and the preventative maintance up, and do the tuning and fueling correctly, and also the right mods, you can have a car that drives like stock untill you put your foot into it.
I think the best year for the eclipse are the late 92 auto gsx's.. the autos tend to take more abuse with a shift kit and end clutch kit, than a manual does, unless you upgrade to evo forks/synchros then the manuals are ok.
But theres nothing like brake boosting off the line!
also if parts on the car arent changed properly, and certain new parts installed, you garuntee the car to fail.
