really? I've seen 2 of 5 I've used crack (the guards and the block) - both were on LS's.

yup. The only cooling problem I've had was when I switch my stock gutted fan to a slim autozone fan. The temp would rise if i was stuck in traffic then if i get moving again it would drop back down. So for now I have to leave it running all the time if its like 100 degrees outside other than that its fine.

Vaportrail: How long after you installed the blockguards on the ls's did it crack, how much were they boostin?

Also what do you think caused the cracking?

Well heres my experience:

Got the STR blockguard for my LS. Finally got boosted a couple of weeks ago.
I talked to the guy that helped me install my turbo and he asked me if I put the blockguard in before I machined the cylinder walls....nope. I don't know what cylinders if not all 4 are warped. She smokes like a bitch now...sad sad days until I get it fixed. And its all my fault.

This is my experience with building my motor. Some have never had a problem so weigh your options.

Thanks for the experiences and advice y'all. I'll stay away from them and on the conservative side of boost
