first of all a search will give you a lot of answers..

persoanlly I think the idea's is good, bracing the top of the cylinder walls where the most stress occured at the internal combustion...

but from what I have heard from ppl that have used it, an overheating is a very common problem, since the block guard is place right at the very top of the coolant passage outside of the cylinder walls, therefore reducing the amount of coolant that pass thru there to cool that area where the combustion occurs and where the cooling is MOSTLY needed....

but again, I have had known several ppl who have sworn by it...

if you want to stay stock sleeves, invest on tuning and internal components...block guard is not gonna do a whole lot IMP, tuning does...

or get a rich MILF and go all OUT!! heheheheheh

10 psi, you'll be fine, I'll worry abut your fuel pressure if you;re still running stock injectors and FMU..you'll run too high of pressure...

To compensate for the overheating problems that some people have experienced, i installed my blockgaurd about a half inch below the deck height. This still allows coolant to flow to the top of the cylinders.

i thought block guard was great when i 1st saw it, then i went to a shop in michigan and saw them post a block. they drill holes in the actual block and run metal studs in to support the cylender walls. all the benifits of block guard and non of the coolant problems.

I would get one again if I could control my boost needs.

My experience: I ran too much boost and too little tuning and blew my block away. It works good for low boost. But if you getting addicted I hope you have stand-alone.
Mine is the old STR piece. I would install it before honing and pistons.
