blockguard
dohc zc eagle rods srp pistons, arp head studs, oem headgasket...tuned with turboedit
looking to go 16-17 psi
evo3 big 16g
is a blockgaurd a good idea
and if so will one for a d16 work

Im pretty sure it would work but its not a good idea to jsut hammer it in...
If a block gaurd is installed the block should be bored and honed after it is installed.
they sometimes distort the block and cause the crank to not spin properly....which would require you to align hone the mains which is expensive
I dont use them or think they are worth a damn

Blockguards were a thing of the 90's when import tuners didn't know what the hell they were doing.
Just look at today's cars - it's pretty common to see 400whp, 500whp, or even 600whp. None of these guys are running block guards. It seems that we've entered an age of "high hp stock sleeve" setups.
