Default which block to use?

I have a 94 accord EX VTEC. Should I get a CRV block or a F22 Block. I heard the CRV block can handle 20lbs of boost with stock internals. is this true? Will it work with my F22 VTEC head?

Nope.. Stock b20 can't handle 20lbs with stock internals for too long.

If you have a 94 accord, why not build up a h22 block?

If you are going to build a block why not build a block that can produce more power? I wouldn't waste money on building a f20 block because at the end, you will be unhappy with the amt of power it produces.

Go with an H22 and I am sure you could find one on here.

h22 block, which is a 2.2L Vtec motor from a prelude.

At the end you will have spent more money on the h22 block but you will be happier.

The F22 is a 2.2L as well. I was thinking about the H22 but because the AC would not work with the Drag turbo kit, I didn't go that route. But how much more power does the h22 block has then the F22?

The HP all depends on what you do to the block. The H22 has way more aftermarket support than the F22.

Ah yes, but h22 is a dohc while the f22 is a sohc.

Well, how much power are you planning to make?

True, but I want to stick with the SOHC, because I have it. Why not port and polish it and build the block to handle more boost? It would be cheaper for me that way.

it seems like you already have the answers to the questions you ask, no point in asking advice if you dont want to use it

Well I am not an expert, but I have been doing research. Everyone has there opinons on how or what to do. I just wanted to know if the CRV is better for boost then the F22.
