Default Block rebuild question

Guys.
Im getting a rebuild for my 00 si. I have a few questions before i let the shop do the rebuild. Im getting 81.5mm oversize arias piston and eagle rods. The shop show me the arias pistons but they are for 1.8L, is it compatible for 1.6L. I got the b16 JDM block from the shop already and many people on the board are telling me theres not a single difference between the b16a2 and b16a1 but just the crank sensor is that true? If i want 9.5:1 CR what pistons should i get since the shop is giving me the piston made for 1.8L. I read some post while ago about the CR for the piston for 1.8L in a 1.6L drop one point so if i get the 9.5:1 CR then it will come out to be 8.5:1 is that true?
Also, what headgasket should i get, my friend is telling me that the OEM headgasket is not good for boost cars, he said that i should get the cometics headgasket, but i want to get the gasket that is close to stock spec, which one should i go with? Any response will be appreciated!

You can use the B18C pistons no problem but to get 9.5:1 in your B16A with a stock thickness gasket .030 then you need a piston with a dome displacement of +2.4cc this is with stock cc for head not milled and stock bore, if you go to a Cometic HP that is .043 thickness then you will need a piston dome displacement of +4.1ccs, also going up .5mm overbore the dome specs would be slightly less, hope this helps.

edit:noticed you said 81.5mm so Cometic HP gasket .043 then piston dome displacement would need to be +3.6cc and with stock gasket +1.9ccs, I have some 84mm JE pistons that have a Dome of -1.7cc but I have a milled head and combustion cc is 41cc on my head, my CR with a cometic HP is 9.3:1

Not sure, but I think so. Also the oil squirters are different in the first gen.

No. The same piston on a gsr motor (b18c1) will yield a lower compression ratio in a b16. This is only by a couple tenths, not a whole point. I dont know if you're talking a c1 or a c5 when you say '1.8L'.

I think the stock headgasket has performed awesome for many of the people on this board, I would stick with it.

the pistons will work the compression will be sligtly lower, it wont be a full point, if they are 9.5:1, youll prob get like 9.2:1, or a tad lower,
the headgasket, stock will work fine up to a point i got the cometic hp coated one , but i plan on running 25psi +, i didnt trust stock for that

Thanks for all the reply, the arias pistons are for b18c1, so if i want somewhere around 9.5:1 or 9.8:1 CR i should tell them to get the 10:1 CR pistons right? Also, do i need JDM Ecu to go with the block or i can stick with my USDM p72 with hondata and have no problem with it? I heard that the jdm b16 doesnt have the fluctuation sensor?

To get a 9.5:1 CR piston for your B16A2 get a 10:1 CR piston for a B18C1.
