Block guard for D16Z6
Ripping down my Z6 over the winter just wondering if its a good idea to tap in a block guard.
I know its better to get these put in by a shop and then your cylinder honed. But is it possible to carfully tap it in? Also whats the recommended install depth?
Oh yeah, which block has the best quality?

just have the block sleeved, throw the block gaurd in the garbage,i think its a waste, prob does more harm than good, esp because it cuts the coolant flow to the most critical part of the cylinder, the upper part
as for which D block is suppose to be the best,i heard its suppose to be the D16A6,but nobody seems to know the exact reasons why, they just say it is,like theoldone.com,he is just one who says so.

They say the A6 because it has more block webbing than any other D series block.........................................I think.
So a block guard is not worth the trouble hey. Why do they make them and why do some people swear by them?
I just want to be able to push my D series to the limits with an AFC. 11psi on the stock bottom end (Arias pistons and rings).
